Route and Transport Planning

RentBuddy Next’s route and transportation planning system was developed in close collaboration with rental companies that handle large numbers of transportation orders every day. One of these companies is the Van Ham Group, which currently operates under the name The Event Family.

With a large fleet and dozens of pick-up and drop-off jobs every day, scheduling must constantly take into account vehicles, drivers, locations, times, and changes. This reality served as an important foundation for the development of the transportation scheduling feature in RentBuddy Next.

From a shipping order to a complete shipment

Consolidate all transport orders into a single overview and combine them into efficient routes. The planner can see where materials need to be delivered or picked up, the time frames within which this must be done, and which vehicles and drivers are available.

If an assignment changes, the most up-to-date information remains available to both the dispatcher and the driver on the road.

The result: Planning, drivers, and the warehouse all work from the same shipping information, while you can track the progress of each job throughout the trip.
